Dear YLs, XYLs and OMs welcome to Kassel.

We hope that you enjoy our city. The official information portal is kassel.de – you find there information in english too.

You can find a lot of general HAM stuff at the “Visitors to DL” page of the DARC (Germany Amateur Radio Club). There are also an FAQ, license, CEPT informations and more.

The local club F12 Kassel has a long tradition of amateur radio. The ‘Radioklub Cassel’ was founded back in 1924. In contrast the DARC exists since 1950. The F12 has about 90 members.

You can meet us to the official F12 meetings, which is the first wednesday in month at 7:30 PM. The location is the little pub ‘Laubenpieper’. Guests are very welcome.

In case you have no CEPT relation or license there may be possible to use educational calls of several OM.

An overview about the repeaters you can find at the repeaters DARC site (don’t forget to choose ‘Show Repeaters near‘). The most usable repeaters and frequencies are collected in following list: 

  1. The APRS frequency is 144.800 MHz.

    • 144.9375 MHz – Simplex, 1,2 kBit/s and 9,6 kBit/s
    • 438.400 MHz -7,6 MHz, 1,2 kBit/s and 9,6 kBit/s
    • 1298.90 MHz -28 MHz, 9,6 kBit/s and 38,4 kBit/s
  3. Echolink DH5FFL-L, 145.350 MHz, EL#75931
  4. local area repeater at 2 m DB0XE 145.775 MHz
  5. regional repeater at 70 cm DB0HRM 439,525 MHz
  6. local area repeater at 23 cm DB0KAS 1298.6 MHz

 

The headquarter of DARC is nearby in Baunatal.There is the management of the entire club DARC and the publishing house ‘DARC Verlag’. Here the monthly membership journal CQ-DL is made and all of the fine QSL cards goes through the central QSL bureau.
